It’s been soooo cold and snowy here in Riga. I didn’t even know I needed Mac ‘n’ Cheese until I saw the sign…walked into Tiki Bar Riga, and I was immediately ‘comforted.’ 😊

The House of the Blackheads. Erected during the first third of the 14th century for the Brotherhood of Blackheads, a guild for unmarried merchants, shipowners, and foreigners in Riga.
The building was bombed to a ruin by the Germans on June 28, 1941 – a week after the launching of Operation Barbarossa – and the remains were demolished by the Soviets in 1948. It was rebuilt between 1996 and 1999. (w)

St. Peter’s Church (Latvian: Svētā Pētera Evaņģēliski luteriskā baznīca) is a Lutheran church dedicated to Saint Peter. Built in 1209, but just some walls and some pillars have remained from that time. The current basilica was created during renovations in the 15th century.
At the beginning of the Last Supper, Jesus washed his disciples’ feet. Peter initially refused to let Jesus wash his feet, but when Jesus told him: “If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me”, Peter replied: “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head” (John 13:2–11).
