BRIGHTON, ENGLAND STREET ART: BANKSY ~ KISSING COPPERS

I thought I had come upon an authentic Banksy piece only to find out that the original version of this was sold to an anonymous Miami buyer for $575,000. This is “an exact replica.” It’s on the side of the Prince Albert Pub in Brighton.

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK STREET ART: MY MONTH WITH BANKSY ~ “THE BANALITY OF EVIL”

Unbelievable. Banksy bought this thrift shop painting for $50 two months ago. He painted in a Nazi and gave it back to the shop yesterday. The bidding will likely go up to a quarter to a half a million dollars and all proceeds will go to Housing Works Thrift Shop – a place that supports the fight against aids and homelessness. Incredible, Charitable. BANKSY.

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK STREET ART: MY MONTH WITH BANKSY~ “BLOCKED MESSAGES”

Today’s piece is a reaction to a rejected op-ed that Banksy tried to submit to the New York Times. You can read it at the bottom of the pictorial. It comes from his official website: Better Out Than In. Notice that the message on the wall is in view of the ‘new’ World Trade Center.
