ORLANDO, FLORIDA STREET ART: EMERGING ARTSINESS 1 – ARTIST DANNY ROCK

The MILLS 50 Art Box Project – an amazing idea dreamed up by the community to give local artists a chance to showcase their talents and express themselves on a very public scale. The idea is to take generally drab public utility boxes and beautify them with art. What a great idea. And beautiful. Basically, the artists were selected by a community board who looked over their proposals, and I believe, each artist was given $100 for paints and materials to create their pieces.

As an avid international street art fan, you can imagine I’ve been taking long walks with my camera to capture these boxes. I definitely like some more than others, but they each have their own unique style. The first box I will share is one of my favorites. It’s urban, it’s modern, it’s classic. I’ve researched the artist further because these are the kinds of images I really dig. The artist is Danny Rock and he’s originally from New York, but has been living in Florida since 2007.
