Shoreditch London is experiencing some ‘Gentrification Tension’ and is letting off steam by conducting things like the ‘Fuck Parade,’ a protest march through the streets of Shoreditch last weekend, throwing paint, daubing ‘scum’ on the walls of hipster, gentrifying locales…especially targeting the Cereal Killer Café, a hipster haven that pretentiously sells bowls of cereal for £4.40 (you can get a whole box for less than that in the supermarket) and people queue up for it! AND graffiti artists have joined in and are putting out pieces like this one by artist Tee WAT. It’s a play on Banksy’s famous flower thrower and it shows a bearded hipster (looking much like the twin Irish brothers who own the Cereal Killer Café) wearing Birkenstocks and heaving a box of Corn Flakes…
