My grandmother once told me that the building of this station was her earliest memory. She remembered a giantic building pit in the ground. Whenever I am there this comes to my mind.
When I was a child, they still had some steam lokomotives there, but then these where faded out. Just after Germany’s reunification, steam lokomotives suddenly reappeared, from the east, but only for a short time.
A place full of overlapping memories…
