In 1975-76, the Rolling Stones were on tour in the USA and they stayed for a bit at Andy Warhol’s “Eothen” compound in Montauk, New York. Story has it that they spent a lot of time down the road at this motel, The Memory Motel, because it was supposedly the only place in town with a pool table and a piano. Really? Warhol had five houses at Eothen, but no piano or pool table?
