KOBE, JAPAN: BLOOD MOON IN THE KOBE SKY

Here are some images of the transformation of this rare red lunar eclipse that I witnessed tonight in Kobe, Japan. It begins as the ‘blood’ begins to emerge from the bottom and slowly covers to the top. After an hour, the ‘blood’ then begins to dissipate, seemingly ‘pushed’ from the left to the right by the usual moon image that we all know. :

  1. So beautiful! It’s a celebration of moon time. Because of that, I’ve posted one of my many moon poems from a moon cycle I’ve written over the years. It’s titled Labor Day and reflects the coming of autumn. I wonder if you would relate to it. Take care.
