KOBE, JAPAN: YAMAMURA HOUSE a.k.a. YODOKO GUEST HOUSE, PT. 2

Set into a hilltop in Ashiya looking over the port of Kobe. Of course in 1918, there weren’t so many houses between Yamamura and Osaka Bay. The house was constructed with Oya Stone, not concrete. Oya Stone is created from lava and ash and it is fireproof. Here are various exterior images as well as its current surroundings:
