I was in Japan in March for 10 days. I didn’t get to visit Nara. I stayed in Tokyo most of the time, but I was able to see Kyoto on the weekend. I didn’t notice until someone pointed it out, that the word Tokyo is Kyoto turned around. I absolutely loved Kyoto and all the temples. On the other hand, I found Tokyo rather intimidating with all the huge buildings, the tsunami of people, and the fast-paced way of living. And the Tokyo trains during rush hour….Ooooh…my claustrophobia revealed!
You’d probably enjoy Nara. I’ve been there before and taken pics of the obligatory temples, deer, etc, so this time I focused more on the street photography aspect, obviously. 😀
