On January 1st, 2012, I posted a status update on Facebook proclaiming that I would be at the Mayan Ruins on December 21st…I didn’t know how, but that was my proclamation. And I made it. I was at Chichen Itza in Mexico on December 20th and at a smaller set of Mayan Ruins on the day of the “Mayan Apocalypse.”

On January 1st, 2013, I proclaimed to myself but didn’t make it public, that somehow I wanted to be in Petra, Jordan by the end of the year. I had absolutely no idea how that was going to happen. but I put it out there…and here I am.

It first got into my head when I was watching some kind of National Geographic-type of show a few years back…that image of Petra…the Treasury building built into the rock…its main iconic image…so, here it is:
