The above picture is of a state-owned supermarket. It is funded by PDVSA, the state-petroleum company. Items are said to be cheaper in here than in privately-owned supermarkets, but you aren’t guaranteed to get sugar, rice, or flour, as private companies are known to horde these things. Right now, there is a massive shortage of sugar, flour, and oils (cornflower, vegetable.)
