Eggs Benedict at La Vagabunda, the same restaurant I went to yesterday. http://jacquelinemhadel.com/?s=food+in+playa&submit=Search$139 pesos, orange juice, and endless refills of coffee
I’ve finally found my favorite non-Mexican restaurant here in Playa Del Carmen: Babe’s Noodles & Bar. Images of classic pin-up girls fill the place, the food is fresh veggie/Asian fusion. Practically every meat dish can be substituted with tofu. There are Thai curries and Indian curries. Spring rolls. Soups. Specialties. Owned by a renowned Swedish chef and her husband, I think. She makes everything fresh in the mornings, so she doesn’t have to stick around at night. 😉 So, no, I didn’t get to meet her. But I’ll be going back. I had a blueberry margarita and jumbo coconut shrimp with rice.
